I just read about a senario where someone wanted to open up their ol’ timey View 3 environment to WAN users. They chose to have users connect on a VPN, run a thinapped version of the view client from a Citrix terminal server, and then finally connect to a View VM. I can’t imagine how bad performace was on this Rube Goldberg machine, let alone the horrific licensing and hardware costs. I don’t know their specific struggles, but there had to be a better way.
Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
